HEALING POWER OF DESIRE

Nothing heals like a broken heart. If you've ever been through a breakup of some sort, even just a love delusion...You know this to be true.

Passion lights us up like nothing else. It's like your whole reality is lighted up, shining and alive. Of course that same fire burns us to the ground.

But from the ashes we rise, every single time. With new found pieces of our fragmented selves. Each and everytime love burns you alive, you come back transformed, that is, if you are consciously healing and not just drowning yourself into sorrow.

Hardly something else teaches us as much as love does.

So go ahead. Let your fire burn deeply for that person. Don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you to shut it off. You know why? Because you will never fully open up to true love unless you follow your desires.

Every desire is coming from a deep wounded place within us. When I say desire, I don't mean the new iphone, altough those small desires also have a deeper meaning. I'm talking about passion. Desire that consumes you.

If you don't allow those desires to be fully manifested...It will, in fact, CONSUME you.

It's as if you lit up a fire inside your body and never allowed it for that fire to burst out of you. It's slowly burning you from the inside out.

And because you never allowed that desire to be fully manifested, you never went through it's transformative flames. You never allowed yourself to heal completly.

For every desire holds space for a fragment of your ego that needs healing.

Regardless if that desire brings you joy or hurts you, you still needed to learn something from it. You never truly rest until you see it for yourself, even if it's just to say "I told you so". It doesn't matter because if you're open to receive, every pain has incredible healing powers. So don't be afraid of your desire. Don't think of it as in terms of 'going right' or 'going wrong'. If you are open...It will always work it's beautiful healing powers upon you...So it will never 'go wrong'.

If there's a burning fire within you...Let it out. Don't hold it in. It means something. There's a part of you yearning for something. The manifestation of that desire could be what it needs.

You'll never know if you hold it in.

Let it out, let it burst.

*Have discerniment when it comes to desires that inflict other's freedom / manifest in a passive way so you do not harm another being -that is, do not impose your truth onto anybody, if your desire involves someone else, use your heart to bring them to you, not your physical force.

In our Totem Club we do a meditation every Monday that activates our heart's truth, that is, we open our minds to what truly lies within our heart's desires, by virtue of our conscious mind's chatter being often too loud, we sometimes shut ourselves off from our true desires, the one's that arrive from deep within our souls, a true piece of us that needs healing...And we shut it off more often than not.

Awhile ago one of the Totem's felt in her meditation that she desired a specific piece of clothing. At first, the ego self wanted to judge and condem, as it being extremelly 'superficial' and so she came to me for guidance and we tapped into her subconscious, finding the true meaning of that desire. Which she agreed to share here: she desired a very specific dress she saw somewhere online. At first she thought it was the most beautiful dress, but she just brushed it off as a 'superficial' desire. Then the dress came in her meditation and digging deeper, she realized that dress meant her path to liberation.

How? The dress was red. A colour she said to not like very much, doesn't own anything in that colour. It was a very sleak and sexy dress, which she also never liked wearing things like that so much.

Red represents passion, sexuality, desire, woman, fire. This Totem was extremelly restricted in her childhood regarding sexually and desires. She was told from an early age that she should 'behave', should not care about wealth as it was 'evil' and 'didn't matter' and should never care about her desires, because they were evil and came from the flesh. She was raised in a religious home.

This as a result made her to be a very quiet, restricted person. She always felt taken advantage of, for never speaking her mind. Always felt empty, because she wasn't letting herself to desire anything, and the spark in her life was long gone (desire brings spark and joy). She was already doing much better with the weekly meditations and the techniques we learn in the Totem club, so she was already conscious of these wounds. But when she opened her heart to that simple desire of a dress and went and got that dress...The result of it was beyond what we could've dreamed of.

She wore the dress to an event from her job, she said she was feeling very self conscious but remained strong. She met someone that night, and for privacy I won't disclose details but this person ended up becoming a very important romantic relationship in her life that helped her heal in intense and profound ways.

They said the reason why they approached her was because they thought that dress was beautiful and it caught their attention.

This is such a crazy way of reality happening that it almost feels like a fairytale of some sort. I remember almost having tears in my eyes when she sent me a picture of her in that dress...It was like I could feel the power of her healing. My daily life isn't as magical as this but I also recall having moments in life where I followed my heart and it led to something beautifully transformative.

In fact, I think every single time I followed my heart, I was healed in profound ways.

We have stories like that every week since we do heart's desire meditation every week, but I wanted to share this one because it's so funny how a simple thing such as a 'dress', that could seem superficial...Was in fact the key to immense healing.

Follow your heart...But understand it first. Start to listen to it and speak it's language, so you know exactly where it's coming from and what needs healing.
